I can’t quite say this is the one I’ve been waiting for —that’s Halo 3—but Halo 2 joined the Master Chief Collection on PC Tuesday night, and it’s an ideal place to start really devoting time to Halo’s online multiplayer. It’s still fun, but not a game I’d dump hours of time into. Halo 2, even after 15 years, feels just deep enough. It’s still the kind of multiplayer game that can demands precision aiming, tight teamwork, and intricate map knowledge to master.

Halo Reach’s audio issues remain, and are taking a long time to fix. Halo 2 doesn’t exhibit identical problems, though its audio isn’t perfect, either. I tested Halo 2 on a low-end system with a GTX Ti graphics card still roughly twice as powerful as the minimum spec stated on Steam , while hardware writer Jorge Jimenez tested on a much more powerful rig, with an RTX Super.
On my system, even with the framerate limited to 60 fps, VSync on, and trying fullscreen and borderless windowed, I saw screen tearing that proved distracting. I got the same result on the “Unlimited” fps option I really want to see the developers add a fps lock in the future but did notice less tearing when I turned the settings down to best performance rather than Enhanced. It’s worth noting that I experienced the same tearing in Halo Reach, which is actually a less demanding game than Halo 2 Anniversary, even when playing on a GTX The issue clearly isn’t completely based on performance.

I don’t know about you guys, but I rather enjoy playing with a group of people who can talk some trash, but ultimately say “good game” after a match. However, we all know this is a rare occurrence. You’re more likely to get one of the players I’m about to list below. These either make me laugh, have me clenching my teeth, or both, depending on the circumstances.
Halo Reach’s audio issues remain, and are taking a long time to fix. to the Master Chief Collection, I especially appreciate its matchmaking options, issues or lag in multiplayer, even in 16 player Big Team Battle matches.
Clans have been a part of Halo ever since Xbox Live was launched. Many believe that clans were the main contributor in growing the Halo community. Many also believe that they helped make the game feel a bit more competitive than it already was with ranks. The fact is that almost all of us who play Halo have had an encounter with a clan at least once in our time of gaming.
For a clan member, there is no better feeling than to go searching in Big Team Battle matchmaking with your whole clan and get win after win while having a blast talking to your fellow members. While for the opponent, it winds up being a game full of disappointment wishing you could be in a clan that good. Since there was such a large number of Halo players, clans started to form ridiculously fast.

Most Infuriating Multiplayer Behavior
